My 9-month-old is still waking up 2-3 times a night to nurse. I'm ready to start night weaning but don't know where to begin. What methods worked for you?
Yep, that sounds exactly right! Mustard yellow and seedy is the classic breastfed baby poop. It's a good sign they are getting enough of the fatty hindmilk.
Even a few minutes at a time adds up! We used a special tummy time mat with lots of textures and a mirror. That helped distract him.
My pediatrician said to let them sleep! As long as they are gaining weight properly and have enough wet/dirty diapers, you don't need to wake a sleeping baby. Enjoy the rest!
Have you tried gripe water or gas drops? They were a lifesaver for us. Also, look into paced bottle feeding techniques, it can help them swallow less air.
Try doing it on your chest while you're lying down! My baby tolerated that way better than on the floor. Or roll up a towel and put it under their armpits for support.
Hang in there, it gets easier!
Have you talked to your pediatrician about it? They might have some good advice.
