My newborn wants to breastfeed constantly in the evenings. It feels like I'm a human pacifier! Is this normal? Any tips for surviving these cluster feeding sessions without losing my mind?
My pediatrician said to let them sleep! As long as they are gaining weight properly and have enough wet/dirty diapers, you don't need to wake a sleeping baby. Enjoy the rest!
Have you tried gripe water or gas drops? They were a lifesaver for us. Also, look into paced bottle feeding techniques, it can help them swallow less air.
Totally agree with the previous comment. That worked for us too.
Even a few minutes at a time adds up! We used a special tummy time mat with lots of textures and a mirror. That helped distract him.
Yep, that sounds exactly right! Mustard yellow and seedy is the classic breastfed baby poop. It's a good sign they are getting enough of the fatty hindmilk.
This is so helpful, thank you for sharing.
