My 2-month-old sleeps in 2-3 hour chunks and is awake for about 90 minutes in between. It feels like she's not sleeping that much overall. How much sleep should a baby this age be getting in 24 hours?
Have you tried gripe water or gas drops? They were a lifesaver for us. Also, look into paced bottle feeding techniques, it can help them swallow less air.
This is a developmental phase. Their sleep cycles are maturing. We read 'Precious Little Sleep' and it had some great tips. It does get better!
I don't have advice but sending you support! You're doing great.
Even a few minutes at a time adds up! We used a special tummy time mat with lots of textures and a mirror. That helped distract him.
Oh wow, I never thought of that. Thanks for the tip!
It's called 'sleeping like a baby' for a reason! 😉 Definitely check with your doctor, but ours said the same thing. If they're healthy and growing, let them sleep. It's a blessing!
